Stan Van Gundy revealed how he plans to take a stand against ‘bigoted’ Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, after he delivered a controversial commencement address earlier this month.

‘I’ll tell you, I’m going this far, he was a kicker on my fantasy team last year. I won’t take him this year,’ the former NBA coach said on an episode of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Thursday.

I’m boycotting him now,’ he added.

28-year-old Butker has faced widespread backlash for suggesting women should embrace their ‘vocation’ as a ‘homemaker,’ before taking aim at the LGBTQ+ community and President Biden’s stance on abortion during the graduation speech at Benedictine College.

Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Van Gundy said the NFL player was ‘entitled’ to his beliefs, however he strongly disagrees with his ‘backwards’ comments.

Butker’s speech at the conservative, catholic college told men to ‘fight against cultural emasculation’ while claiming women are destined to be housewives with no career aspirations.

His teammate Patrick Mahomes, and head coach Andy Reid, broke their silence on the controversial remarks earlier this week.

‘I’ve known [Harrison] for seven years and I judge him by the character that he shows every single day. And that that’s a good person,’ Mahomes said in a press conference Wednesday.

‘That’s someone who cares about the people around him, cares about his family, and wants to make a good impact in society,’ he continued.

Reid chimed in, ‘Everybody is from different areas, different religions, different races, and so we all get along, we all respect each other’s opinions.’

He went on, ‘It’s a great thing about America, man. And we’re just, like I said, a microcosm of that and my wish is that everybody could kind of follow that.’

Butker is a three-time Super Bowl champion and one of the most outspoken voices among current NFL players in opposition of President Biden’s policies
