As he gears up for his second-annual Kelce Jam in Kansas City, Kansas, the 34-year-old Kelce shared that Swift, also 34, offered him some advice on hosting a live event.

“Don’t try to be Taylor—that’s the lesson I learned,” he told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, April 2. “She’s in a whole different league.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end gushed about Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.

“She’s the best at what she does for a reason,” Kelce explained. “She’s incredibly articulate and deeply involved in every aspect of her performances. That’s what makes her so extraordinary.”

The athlete, who has watched Swift’s shows in Kansas City, Australia, and Singapore, emphasized that the Grammy winner operates on an entirely different level.

“I’d be foolish to try to emulate what she does, except to appreciate the crowd that gathers,” Kelce continued. “One thing I can definitely learn from her is how she connects with her audience. That’s something I’ll take away.”

He also praised Swift’s nearly four-hour concert, which resumes in May in Paris, as “impressive.”

Kelce kicked off the first Kelce Jam in Kansas City last year, attracting 20,000 concertgoers. The event featured headliners Rick Ross and Machine Gun Kelly, with Kelce joining Kelly on stage for a song.

As Kelce Jam returns on May 18 with new headliners Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz, Kelce remained tight-lipped about whether he’ll perform again.

“I’m not sure about performing,” he told the outlet. “I’ll leave that to the pros, but you’ll see me on stage with the mic, hyping up the crowd and keeping everyone excited for the next act.”

Kelce admitted, “I can’t resist—once I have a mic in hand, who knows what I’ll do!”

Although Kelce has learned from Swift’s stage presence, he will be going solo during Kelce Jam. Swift will be performing in Stockholm, Sweden, as part of the European leg of her Eras Tour on the same day the event happens in Kansas City.

The couple, who started dating in the summer of 2023, are making the most of their time together before their schedules take them in different directions.

“They’re prioritizing rest, relaxation, and low-key time at home together,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in March after Swift wrapped up shows in the U.S., South America, Mexico, Australia, and Asia. “They’re enjoying movie nights in her home theater, catching up on films and shows they’ve missed. They finally have the chance to rest and plan to spend quality time together, as well as with friends and family.”

During Swift’s two-month break, she has been seen spending time with Kelce in Los Angeles and The Bahamas. Most recently, the couple reportedly traveled to Pennsylvania to celebrate Easter with Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Swift and Travis’ Cadillac Escalade was spotted arriving at Jason, 36, and Kylie’s home in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 30. The couple reportedly flew back to Los Angeles on Monday, April 1.

Kelce Jam is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at The Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City, Kansas. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 5, but fans can register online at KelceJam.com for pre-sale details.
