Taylor Swift stated 2 Reasons for Missing Travis Kelce’s Games I Have Nothing to Do With… See more
Their Relationship:
Taylor Swift’s absence from the Chiefs away games reportedly has nothing to do with the state of her and Travis Kelce’s relationship.
Where is Taylor Swift? That’s the question many asked when her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, took the field at two away games for the Kansas City Chiefs without her in the stands. There are reportedly two reasons the Grammy winner wasn’t there to cheer the Super Bowl winner on as she’s done at previous games. And it has nothing to do with their relationship.
Security is partly why Taylor wasn’t at Travis Kelce’s games
The “Down Bad” singer skipped Chiefs games two weeks in a row—on Sept. 22 and Sept. 29—after attending the first two games of the season at Arrowhead Stadium. No sooner had Swift skipped Kelce’s games did speculation begin churning about potential trouble in their relationship. But it seems they’re doing just fine.
As an insider told Page Six, Swift missing Kelce’s games had to do with security, not their relationship. “If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” the source said. “She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
It comes after reports Swift increased security measures following canceled shows in Vienna, Austria, over the summer due to a terror attack plot
The same insider also cited Swift’s busy schedule as a reason for her absence from Kelce’s games. She’s said to be busy rehearsing for the final leg of her Eras Tour, which resumes on Oct. 18, 2024, with concerts in Miami, Florida.
Swift’s absences happened amid criticism of Kelce’s performance on the field so far this season, which some have blamed on his private life. But it seems the pair are unbothered. “They are both tough people,” the source said. However, they did admit Swift’s absences have given her and Kelce “a break” from constant criticism.
If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all the games,” he said (via Page Six). “I mean, there’s eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs. I don’t even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game.”
He also shared that he’d like his future girlfriend to “cheer when we’re doing awesome.” (Swift definitely has that part covered.)
