“Our Deepest Sympathies”: KC Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid Addresses Fan’s Tragic Passing at Training Camp

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid opened his press conference Tuesday with remarks about a woman who died last weekend at training camp.

Jessica Tangen, described as a ‘lifelong Chiefs fan,’ died while attending training camp on Sunday afternoon.

“The death of mom there to the kids, it’s a terrible thing that happened,” Reid said. “We’ve obviously reached out to them, it will stay that way and continue to support them by contact.”

A cause of death was not provided for Tangen.

“We are devastated to share that one of the Kansas City Chiefs beloved fans, Jessica Tangen of Riverside, Mo., passed away Sunday morning during practice at Chiefs Training Camp,” Mosaic said in a statement.
