Patrick Mahomes responds to ‘dad bod’ comments after unflattering shirtless  image goes viral

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has broken his silence after a picture of him shirtless screenshotted from a video went viral on social media.

Mahomes is seen as the greatest active quarterback in the NFL, and he may already be one of the greatest of all-time despite only being 28. However, although a professional athlete, some fans have said that the Chiefs star has a “Dad bod” after seeing his body on display.

The two-time NFL MVP is preparing for the fourth Super Bowl of his career, as the Chiefs look to become the first team since the New England Patriots to defend their Championship. But Mahomes couldn’t help but respond to the viral photo and showed his sense of humor.

“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!?,” Mahomes said on X, followed by laughing emojis and the hashtag #DadBodSZN. He then responded to his own post, adding: “Like I got kids!!!!”

No matter what fans think of Mahomes’ physique, it doesn’t hold him back during games as the Chiefs quarterback is consistently one of the best in the league. Mahomes was drafted by the Chiefs tenth overall back in 2017, and since becoming their franchise starter in 2018 he’s been dominant.

In his six starting seasons Mahomes has reached the AFC Championship every time and has two Super Bowl rings from his three visits to the season finale. Mahomes’ only loss came against Tom Brady and the Tampa Buccaneers, but he’s already beaten the San Francisco 49ers – who they face in Las Vegas on Feb. 11 – in the past at this stage.
