The biggest star of the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty probably won’t be at Bank of America Stadium this afternoon.
Sunday will see the 3-7 Carolina Panthers host the 9-1 defending Super Bowl champions—who, of course, bring quite a bit of extra attention wherever they go. And for some folks, it’s not the best quarterback on the planet, the most successful head coach in the game nor the highly-decorated pass catcher who are the main attractions of the show . . . it’s actually the highly-decorated pass catcher’s girlfriend.
Taylor Swift—the pop music icon, 14-time Grammy Award-winner and significant other of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce—doesn’t appear to be headed for Charlotte here in Week 12.
Although the Panthers seemingly won’t be getting the full Chiefs experience, Taylor’s absence could be good news for the home team. Kansas City is 13-3 when Swift attends their games.
In any event, there’s going to be one heck of a blank space in that stadium today, isn’t there?
